Meet Jill

Hi, I'm Jill!

I am a mid-thirties wife, toddler mom, health nut, proud frugal homemaker, and Texas transplant. I work in back office operations in the finance industry and absolutely love it. It is what brought me down the path of financial literacy.

Between being a wife and mom, keeping my health in check, managing our new home, and turning our new build from builder grade to something we love, I have no choice but to maximize my time and my dollar.

I'm just your everyday Jill, here to share what I've learned and loved along the way from honest stories on motherhood, health, personal finance and everyday life to product recommendations that our family loves.

Thank you for being here!

2016
I unexpectedly lost my mom at the age of 24 which rocked my world for the worst. I really spent some time looking over my life realizing it is truly too short. I built the courage to leave my whole life behind and start a new one (relationship, job, location, hobbies, etc.) to become who I wanted to be.

2017
I decided to take my health back. I joined an online fitness challenge that jumpstarted a 30+ pound weight loss leading into a desire to build muscle.

2019
I competed in a bodybuilding show that was both the scariest thing I have ever done but also the most rewarding. I not only proved to myself that I had discipline to do something so mentally, physically, and emotionally exhausting, but I can do anything I set my mind to.

2020
I met my now husband just before Covid lockdown which was interesting to say the least to date when you can't really go anywhere. It actually was a blessing because we could focus on really getting to know each other.

2022
We got married!

2023
Shortly after we got married, we decided to move from the Midwest to Texas, something we'd joked about for a couple years. Later that year, we found out I was pregnant. Oh and we also bought a house. What a year!

2024
I gave birth to our beautiful daughter who is now in toddlerhood. She is the biggest blessing and at such a fun yet challenging age. We are working to make our builder grade home into something we love.
